WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
There are two different types of pilates workouts – mat vs. equipment pilates.
Mat work is done on the floor using the minimum amount of equipment. These exercises are designed to work with all fitness levels and are perfect for beginners as they allow you to learn the basic and fundamental movements whilst helping you to gain stamina and strength as well as boost your confidence in your ability to do the exercises.
The second type of pilates workout is with equipment and it involves using a combination of bars, springs, straps, and pulleys that you can opt to use once you’ve become acquainted with the fundamentals of pilates. Equipment pilates classes are full body strength training workouts designed to improve your muscle tone and strength as well as joint mobility, stamina, and your overall flexibility.
Here at The Pilates Room, we offer a wide range of pilates equipment designed to help you get the most out of your sessions and achieve all your desired goals. This includes:
- Half-tower reformer machines
- Toning balls, pilates ball, and gym balls
- Magic circles
- Foam rollers

- Spine supporter
- Arc barrel

Most people who begin with pilates simply start with a mat and work their way up. Either way, we have all the equipment you need for your pilates journey, regardless of skill level or experience.
